Bowmanville, January 30, 2021. This year our staff committee decided to support Feed the Need in Durham.
For well over 20 years, Feed the Need in Durham has been working to ensure healthy food is distributed to the most vulnerable people in our community. What makes this organization so remarkable is their ability to extend the value of donations. With the support of many volunteers and a long list of community partners, every $1 donated results in over $7 worth of food distributed. They also tell us the need is growing because of COVID-19. Every month they see over 35,000 visits to a food bank in their network.
