
Bowmanville, September 8, 2023 – When you look at the vehicle in these pictures it is hard to tell it is a new 4Runner. The customer driving this vehicle was in a head-on collision. There was sufficient force to cause multiple airbag deployments and enough damage to write off the vehicle. Mercifully she was unhurt, due to airbags and other collision mitigation features. Before she exited the vehicle, the Toyota Safety Connect system had notified emergency services informing them that it had detected a severe collision. The system also provided the exact location to send emergency vehicles. We are pleased to report that our customer is just fine. Her 4Runner will be replaced and this story has a happy ending.
